Devon Oman - Dead Prairies Productions (Ep 21)
When we last spoke with Devon in early 2024, "GOREphers: Final Gnaw" was only weeks away from its release. The movie has since soared past all expectations Devon had envisioned. A lifelong native of Swift Current, SK, Devon is a local celebrity. In 2024, he decided to take his movies beyond his hometown. With screenings in Gull Lake, Medicine Hat, Regina, and most recently Saskatoon, Devon has terrified audiences across Saskatchewan and into Alberta. Perhaps less frightening is his commitment to donate all proceeds from these showings to animal shelters in each city visited.
Devon has just finished casting for "The Silver Scream," assembling the largest cast yet for any Dead Prairies Productions movie. With the script finalized, filming locations secured, and a cast in place, Devon is poised to begin filming soon, aiming for a release in mid to late 2025.
While Dead Prairies may be a small-town horror movie company, Devon’s vision is anything but small-town. His big heart and generosity have touched the lives of people and animals across the prairies and beyond.
