Emotional release can look very different for different people. Our bodies have a physiological response to an event, especially a traumatic one, but regardless, it has a response which is tailored to respond to a certain stimuli. Emotions can become 'stored' in our bodies when we do not allow that process (both physical and mental) to fully complete. Therefore, we have emotional energy stored in our bodies, and this is why we can become triggered in some ways (especially by our children, right?). This episode shares some ways that emotional release can happen, look like, and feel like - and also 2 somatic (movement based) exercises you can use to stimulate your vagus nerve and start processing that emotion.
